The Canvas for our Safari Tents
Our focus is on manufacturing products with exceptional resilience, able to endure wear, pressure, the test of time, and varying weather conditions.
The Canvas we use for our Safari Lodge Tents are 500g Ripblock, waterproof and rot proof, the fabrics retain colour and strength even after years of use due to careful selection of raw materials from reputable suppliers and careful attention to detail during the manufacturing process. Fluorocarbon is also applied as a post treatment to the fabric, to make the product water repellent in addition to being waterproof. The Fluorocarbon treatment expels the water off the fabric quickly, therefore allowing the fabric to dry out very quickly.
Ripblock is a weaving technique by weaving reinforcement threads in a crosshatch pattern with a thicker and stronger yarn acting as the ripblock yarn making the material Tearing and Ripping Resistant.
Moreover, the material doesn’t create shadows on the walls of your Safari tent, ensuring excellent privacy.
We suggest that our customers will make use of our maintenance plan for their safari tents and to coat all the tent walls with ‘Canvas Revive’ coating every 3 years.
When planning your safari tent, we recommend choosing from the following colour options: Howard Green, Sand, Olive, or Two-Tone (Howard on one side and Sand on the other). But do not feel restricted, other colours that can be used are Black, Charcoal, Navy, Taupe, Beige, Bottle Green or Rust.
Just share your vision with us, and we’ll weave together a bespoke design that surpasses your expectations.
